Founded in 1927 by Mr. Manuel de Sousa Lopes, now a shareholding company owned by his descendants, the company was a pioneer in Portugal in the manufacture of buttons, buckles and all kinds of accessories for the clothing and footwear industries, among others, from various raw materials such as polyester, nylon, metal, corozo, etc..
Always at the forefront of new production technologies, while not forgetting the working conditions of its employees, its environmental concerns led to the construction of a wastewater treatment of liquid wastes - one of the first in this geographical area and the first in factories producing buttons in Portugal - as well as the collection of solid wastes for treatment.
